Your first cold plunge with us
1. What should I wear and bring for my first plunge session?
We recommend wearing swimwear or athletic attire that you feel comfortable getting wet. Additionally, it's a good idea to bring a towel and a change of clothes for after your session.
2. What can I expect for my first session?
One of our certified Ice Bath and breath work coaches will lead you through your first plunge. This will include a short breathing session and a dip in one or two of our ice baths. The first session is all about getting used to the experience and our team will make sure you are safe and comfortable.
3. How long is a typical cold plunge session?
A typical first cold plunge session with us lasts approximately 15 minutes with about 15 seconds - 3 minutes spent in the ice bath, with the remainder of the time spent preparing for and warming up after the ice bath.
4. Can I use the cold plunge if I have a medical condition?
If you have any underlying medical conditions or concerns, we recommend consulting with a healthcare professional before booking a session. Some medical conditions may require medical clearance before participating in cold plunge therapy.

7. What is the recommended cold practice?
A recent study has found that the minimum recommended weekly dose is 11 minutes of cold exposure a week or more for maximum benefits. This would be best in 2 to 5 sessions a week of 2-5 minutes a time.
8. How cold are your plunge pools?
We have a beginner plunge pool which is set to 8-10 degrees and 2 intermediate/advanced pools set to 3-5 degrees.
9. Can I plunge in private?
Absolutely! While we encourage our members to use our public plunge area, you are more than welcome to book our private cubicle at no extra charge.
Contrast Hydrotherapy
1. What is contrast hydrotherapy?
Contrast hydro therapy is a series of brief, repeated immersions in water, alternating between warm (36 - 40 degrees) and cold (6-8 degrees) temperatures.
2. How long is a typical contrast hydrotherapy session?
A contrast hydrotherapy session at The Cold Plunge Co. lasts approximately 30 minutes.
3. Is contrast hydrotherapy included in any of the membership packages, or is it an additional service?
Contrast hydrotherapy is an additional service priced at $24.90 for members and $39.90 for non-members. It can be booked separately or added to any cold plunge session for an extra fee.
4. Are there any contraindications or medical conditions that may prevent someone from participating in contrast hydrotherapy?
Participants with certain medical conditions, such as cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, or skin conditions, may be advised to consult with a healthcare professional before participating in contrast therapy.
